This week felt like it was like a daylong jaja.
So the other day we’re eating lunch at this member’s house, named Ana. We eat with her every week and she has a daughter on a mission in Buenos Aires. We were asking how her daughter’s doing and she tells us she’s training a nuevita (new missionary). So I ask what her companion’s name is. She couldn’t remember what the name was, only that her mom was Argentine but she didn’t speak any spanish…. it couldn’t be Hermana Walters could it? Turns out it IS. So yeah, I eat lunch every week with Elizabeth’s companion’s mom haha. SUCH a small world.
Nothing super exciting happened this week. A few more funny Argentine thing though: If you want to sell your car, just put an empty bottle on top and people will flock. Also, people will give you food anywhere you go. One of our investigators was standing outside eating some bread and honey off her car. And naturally she let us have some too. This car was not clean at all, but I’m just learning to have no bounds when it comes to cleanliness anymore.
We helped at this Future Missionary night with the youth the other day. It was a total last minute thing for us to help, so suddenly we were supposed to teach them how to be missionaries… I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT IM DOING YET haha. Something you really learn on the mission though is how to fake it till you make it haha.
I learn a lot EVERY DAY. Personal Study is one of my favorite parts of the day. Current favorite scripture: John 14:18 — “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” Trust in Him. He will never leave you out to dry. We just have to come to him FIRST. Because he’s anxious and waiting with open arms to help us!
I love you all, I love the Book of Mormon, and I love JESUS CHRIST!
Con mucho amor,
